10 Conflict Resolution Tips (by Junaid Tahir)

One of the most common and frustrating impediments to worker productivity is conflict between employees. Unresolved conflict can strain relationships, create tension and negativity, and dampen morale. Whether engaged in a heated debate, a disagreement, or an outright feud, take a strategic approach to resolving the problem. You'll be most effective if you avoid making these common mistakes.

1. Don't make assumptions about the situation or the other person's perceptions, motivations, or reactions. You'll get a much clearer and more accurate picture by asking the other person directly.
2. Don't take it personally - it rarely is!
3. Don't look for blame. Instead, try to identify cause.
4. Don't avoid the problem. It'll only get worse, breed resentment, and resurface at a later date. You've simply got to deal directly with the issue at hand.
5. Don't attack the other person's character. That's just playing dirty. It will not help you work things out and it will almost certainly have a lasting, negative impact.
6. Don't gossip about the problem or about the other person involved. It's unprofessional and will only make matters worse.
7. Don't bring it up in public. This is a private matter to be resolved between you and the other party.
8. Don't bring it up when there's not enough time to address it. Instead, leave adequate time for a thorough discussion - or introduce the issue and schedule a time to resume talks in the immediate future.
9. Don't bring it up when you're angry, stressed, or feeling ill. That's a disservice to you and the other person involved. Wait until you're calm.
10. Don't address the situation in an email. Email leaves far too much room for misinterpretation. While we're on the subject, don't copy others on a personal matter. This will almost certainly make the other party feel defensive, angry, or humiliated. It won't, however, help resolve the problem.

Alzheimer's Myths and Facts

Dementia is a broad term for a group of symptoms that mean your learning and memory are damaged. Alzheimer's disease is one form of dementia, the most common type. But Alzheimer's accounts for only 60% to 80% of all dementias.

Other types include vascular dementia, frontotemporal dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies, and Parkinson's. Drug side effects, brain injury, depression, and alcoholism can create dementia symptoms, too. But they usually get better when those conditions are treated.

No vitamin, supplement, food, or drug has been shown to cure Alzheimer's.

One promising antioxidant, resveratrol, is found in red grapes. But resveratrol also could wind up like vitamin E, vitamin C, gingko biloba, B vitamins, and coenzyme Q10. All carried similar hopes at one time or another, but none has been proved to prevent or slow Alzheimer's, much less reverse it.

Research suggests your best bet is an antioxidant-rich diet of fruits, vegetables, fish, and nuts to help protect your brain. There’s no silver bullet.

Age is the No. 1 risk factor. The older you are, the more likely you are to get Alzheimer's. The actual cause isn't fully known, though. Many suspects have been studied and rejected.

The list of things that don’t cause dementia includes aluminum cans and cooking pots, flu shots, artificial sweeteners, and silver dental fillings.

Less than 5% of cases are true "familial Alzheimer's," a type that runs in families. Your genes do play a role, though. Having a parent or sibling with Alzheimer's means you have a higher chance of getting it. That’s something you can’t change.

But research shows that many things  you do can lower your odds a lot. These include keeping a healthy weight, eating a healthy diet, exercising, taking care of your heart, and controlling diabetes if you have it. Having an active social life -- seeing friends and family and doing things outside your home -- can lower your risk too. Even more education can make a difference for good.

Repeating yourself, getting lost, and showing fuzzy thinking skills all show up after the process of Alzheimer's has already begun in the brain. Researchers believe that the brain changes of the disease may begin years or decades before symptoms appear.

It's normal to forget a meeting. It's a warning sign if you forget many or forget big events or where you are. Normal is misplacing your keys. Abnormal is putting the keys somewhere odd, like the oven, or accusing your spouse of stealing them.

Alzheimer's isn’t a normal part of aging. It's true that most people who get it are over 65. Your risk doubles every 5 years after 65. Nearly half of 85-year-olds don't have it, though. And it can start young. Among those with younger-onset Alzheimer's, a rare inherited form, symptoms start as early as 30 to 50.

It's not known if brainwork can prevent Alzheimer's. But it may help build brainpower that helps you hold off memory loss. It's better to learn new things than to fall into habits. It's also better to work out your brain every day.

Also key to protecting brain health: Daily exercise and a busy social life.

Those who live more than 2 hours away from a loved one with Alzheimer's spend almost $10,000 per year on travel, phone, and paid helpers. That's almost twice as much as those who live locally. Local caregivers put in more hours.

Who are they

Description:
Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of a dust mite (Dermatophagoides sp.).

The house dust mite (sometimes referred to by allergists as HDM) is a cosmopolitan guest in human habitation. Dust mites feed on organic detritus such as flakes of shed human skin and flourish in the stable environment of dwellings. House dust mites are a common cause of asthma and allergic symptoms worldwide. The mite's gut contains potent digestive enzymes (notably proteases) that persist in their feces and are major inducers of allergic reactions such as wheezing. The mite's exoskeleton can also contribute to allergic reactions.

Description

The body of a house dust mite is just visible against a dark background in normal light. A typical house dust mite measures 0.25–0.3 millimetre (0.010–0.012 in) in length. For accurate identification, one needs at least 10× magnification. The body of the house dust mite has a striated cuticle. Like all acari, house dust mites have eight legs (except the first instar, which has six).

Life cycle

The average life cycle for a male house dust mite is 10 to 19 days. A mated female house dust mite can last up to 70 days, laying 60 to 100 eggs in the last 5 weeks of her life. In a 10-week life span, a house dust mite will produce approximately 2,000 fecal particles and an even larger number of partially digested enzyme-covered dust particles.

Habitat and food

The house dust mite survives in all climates, even at high altitude. House dust mites thrive in the indoor environment provided by homes, specifically in bedrooms and kitchens. Dust mites survive well in mattresses, carpets, furniture and bedding, with figures around 100–500 animals/g dust.Even in dry climates, house dust mites survive and reproduce easily in bedding (especially in pillows), which takes up moisture from body contact.
House dust mites consume minute particles of organic matter. Like all acari, house dust mites have a simple gut; they have no stomach but rather diverticulae, which are sacs or pouches that divert out of hollow organs. Like many decomposer animals, they select food that has been already partially decomposed by fungi.

Eradication

House dust mites reproduce quickly enough that their effect on human health can be significant. Since dust mites depend on moisture to survive, they are most often found in bedding such as pillows and duvets. Dust mites numbers can be reduced by replacing carpets with flat surfaces that are easier to vacuum and maintaining relative humidity below 50%. Existing mites can be eradicated through ten minutes' exposure to the lethal temperatures – near 105 °C (221 °F) – in a household clothes dryer, or using disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (DOT) powder. A side-effect of DOT is irritation of eyes.

Heart Attacks And Drinking Warm Water

A very good article which takes two minutes to read. Heart Attacks And Drinking Warm Water

This is a very good article. Not only about the warm water after your meal, but about Heart Attacks. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

Common Symptoms Of Heart Attack...

A serious note about heart attacks - You! should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting . Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive..

A cardiologist says if everyone who reads this post shares it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life. Read this & Send to a friend. It could save a life... So, please be a true friend and share this article to all your friends you care about..

What Tea Cup holds for You

Drinking a few cups of tea a day may be good for your health.

Tea leaves come from the Camellia sinensis plant. They contain antioxidants that counter free radicals, which can damage cells. Antioxidants may reduce or help prevent some of this damage.

The difference between the three main varieties of tea (green, black, and oolong) is the process used to make them. Black tea is exposed to air, or fermented, which darkens the leaves and gives them flavor. Green tea is made by heating or quickly steaming the leaves. Oolong tea leaves are partially fermented.

There’s no hard evidence that drinking tea can prevent cancer in people in general; many factors affect cancer risk. However, several studies have linked drinking tea to a lower risk of cancer for some people. More research is needed to define those groups.

Some studies show that drinking green tea may help curb a few heart disease risk factors, including body weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol absorption. However, the FDA denied a petition filed by a green tea maker that wanted to put heart-health claims on its product's label, ruling that there wasn’t credible scientific evidence to support the claims.

There is some evidence that green tea may help control glucose (or blood sugar) levels, however, that hasn't been widely tested in people. More research is needed to learn how much green tea would be needed and whether green tea also helps curb body weight and body fat.

Herbal teas are not made from the Camellia sinensis plant and are not really teas at all. Herbal teas are an infusion of leaves, roots, bark, seeds, or flowers from other types of plants. Common herbal teas include chamomile and mint. They are not associated with the potential health benefits of green, black, or oolong tea.

You get the most antioxidants from freshly brewed tea; those compounds are reduced in instant tea, decaffeinated tea, and bottled tea. Researchers have not determined how many cups of freshly brewed green tea are recommended each day, but people in Asia typically drink at least three cups daily.

Fresh brewing is the way to get the most antioxidants from your tea, so knowing how long to steep the tea is an important part of the process. Three to five minutes is the recommended amount of time for maximizing the benefits.

Iced tea often contains low to negligible amounts of catechins compared with the high concentrations found in a cup of hot tea, because adding water to brewed tea dilutes the concentration. However, iced tea and hot tea could contain approximately the same level of antioxidants if, when preparing iced tea, you use 50% more tea than when preparing a similar amount of hot tea to allow for dilution. About 85% of the tea drunk in the U.S. is iced tea.

Blended teas are made with teas of different origins, combined to achieve a certain flavor. For example, English Breakfast tea traditionally was a blend of China Keemums tea, but the blend now includes Ceylon and India teas as well.

Little is known about the effects of green tea on children because the research on green tea has been done on adults.

Green tea contains caffeine, so pregnant women or those who are breastfeeding shouldn’t drink more than one or two servings of green tea per day, according to the American Dietetic Association. People with irregular heartbeats or anxiety disorders also should be cautious about how much caffeine they get, from green tea or other sources.

A Swiss study found that drinking black tea with a meal reduced iron absorption by 79% to 94% when compared with drinking water. People with an iron deficiency might consider drinking tea only between meals.

Medicine for Blood Cancer

Medicine for Blood Cancer has been found!!!!

'Imitinef Mercilet' is a medicine which cures blood cancer. Its available free of cost at "Adyar Cancer Institute in Chennai".
India’s Adyar Cancer Institute is distributing a medicine named ‘Imitinef Mercilet’ that cures blood cancer. This medicine is Free of charge for only selected peoples (Those who passed the criteria of Cancer Institute). The Adyar Cancer Institute is a real health facility located in the city of Chennai, India and, as its name implies, it indeed specializes in cancer treatment and research. The Adyar Cancer Institute has achieved great results in the treatment and research of cancer since its establishment in 1954.

Imitinef Mercilet is apparently an alternative spelling of the drug Imatinib mesylate which is used in the treatment of some forms of leukemia along with other types of cancer. Blood cancer is a generalized term for cancers that affect the blood, lymphatic system or bone marrow. The three types of blood cancer are listed as leukaemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. These three malignancies require quite different kinds of treatments. While drugs (including Imatinib), along with other treatments such as radiation can help to slow or even stop the progress of these cancers, there is currently no single drug treatment that can be said to actually cure all such cancers. Moreover, it should be noted that Imatinib is available for cancer patients in many different health facilities around the world, not just the Adyar Cancer Institute.
Imitinef Mercilet works in a miraculous way as it creates a blockade in the improvement of the irregular enzyme that causes leukaemia. This obstruction developed by Imitinef Mercilet not only restricts the abnormal growth of the blood cells but also switches off the production of the protein that aids in the enlargement of the cancerous cells.

Create Awareness. It might help someone.Forward to as many as u can, kindness costs nothing.

Home Remedies for Acidity

We have all suffered from acidity at some point in our lives. With our busy work schedules, we sometimes fail to eat anything throughout the day. Sometimes we only eat two meals a day, and at other times we simply skip these meals. But, our bad eating habits can cause acidity.

Your stomach normally secretes acid that is essential for the digestive process. This acid helps in breaking down the food during digestion. Your stomach keeps secreting juices to digest food and when it does not get any food to act on it acts on the stomach lining, which causes acidity.

Shreya Brahme, Dietician and Nutritionist and blogger at Dietician Shreya, helps us understand more about this common problem and ways to treat it.

Some common causes of acidity are:

• Eating fast food regularly
• Addiction to caffeine
• Smoking
• Too much alcohol consumption
• Leaving too much of a gap in-between meals

Some easy remedies:

• Have a glass of lukewarm water every day.
• Jaggery (gur), lemon, banana, almonds and yogurt (curd) are all known to give you instant relief from acidity.
• Nariyal paani is known to soothe the system if you suffer from acidity.
• Boil some mint or basil (tulsi) leaves in water and have a glass of this after meals.
• Include bananas, watermelons and cucumbers in your daily diet.
• Sucking on a piece of clove is another effective remedy.
• Besides, trying to correct the cause, avoid excessive intake of caffeine and alcohol.

Healthy Fresh Skin

Get an Early Start on Skin Care
Even if you've never taken care of your skin, it's not too late to start. Your skin starts to age when you are only in your mid-20s, though you may not see it. Your favorite products may not work as well anymore. Your genes, daily habits, and the sun cause these changes. So don't wait any longer! You may want to ask a dermatologist now how you can get smoother, softer skin, whatever your age.

Use a Gentle Cleanser
Choose a creamy one for dry skin, or an oil-free, foaming one for oily skin. If you have sensitive skin, talk to your dermatologist about how to avoid irritation. Wash with warm or cool water. Hot water can strip away your skin's natural moisture. Pat your face dry -- don't rub.

Moisturizer for Your Face
Moisturizer protects and improves your skin. Even if you have oily skin or breakouts, you can use a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer every day. If you have dry skin, you may need to put on moisturizer more than just once a day. Pat it on while your skin is still damp to seal in moisture

Wear Sunscreen Every Day
You need sun protection during daylight hours, no matter if it’s overcast or you’re staying indoors. The sun’s rays can pass through clouds and windows, so you're always exposed. Many moisturizers have sunscreen. If yours doesn't, look for a sunscreen with broad-spectrum SPF of at least 30. Don't forget to cover your lips, too! And if you sweat or are outside for a long time, remember to reapply sunscreen to stay protected.

Can I Layer My Skin Products?
Yes. Start with clean skin and put on any prescription creams or gels first.
Morning: Moisturizer, sunscreen (if it's not in your moisturizer), makeup if you wear it.
Night: Anti-aging product (if you use one), moisturizer without sunscreen.

Scrub Away Dead Skin
Exfoliate to help your skin glow. You can buff off dead skin cells gently with a soft washcloth, spinning brush, or scrubs with synthetic beads. If your skin is dry, exfoliate once a week. If you have oily skin, do it once or twice a week. If you have acne or sensitive skin, talk to your doctor. Exfoliating might irritate your skin.

Reveal a Fresh Layer of Skin
Some skin care products have ingredients that get rid of dead cells to uncover the brighter, fresher skin underneath. Acne medicines and anti-aging products may have salicylic acid or retinoids, for example. You can also get microdermabrasion or a chemical peel to slough off dead cells. Both are available from doctors and in at-home formulas. You may not see a big difference from an at-home formula, though.

Dark Skin Needs TLC
If you're African-American or Hispanic, for example, your skin might be sensitive to sun or chemicals. Stick with a simple, gentle skin care routine. Don't go a day without moisturizer or sunscreen. Even though you may not ever get sunburned, you still need sunscreen to protect against skin cancer, wrinkling, and dark spots.

What's on the Menu?
Your skin craves good nutrition just like the rest of your body. Some studies suggest that nutrients can improve and protect your skin. Creams and serums that include vitamins C or E may protect against sun damage. Ones that have vitamins A or B3 may be able to correct the sun damage you have already. Of course, you still need to get vitamins from foods.

Organic Is Not Always Better
There's no scientific proof that organic or all-natural cosmetics and skin care products are safer for your skin. In some cases, they may irritate it, especially if you have sensitive skin. Like many skin care products, "natural" ingredients like plant extracts may cause rashes or allergic reactions in some people. Test them first on a less noticeable area of your skin.

Facials: Fun or Fundamental?
You don't need a salon facial for good skin care, but it may make your skin look smoother for a while. You might find them to be relaxing, too. A salon facial could include cleansing and exfoliating. Facials may cause allergic reactions or irritation in some people, so you should avoid them if you tend to have redness or a rash afterward.

I'm Too Old for Zits, Right?
You're grown up, so why haven't your pimples and blackheads gone away? Hormones, hair products, and stress may be to blame, among other reasons. Your dermatologist or an aesthetician can help you figure out what your skin needs. Some products have ingredients that fight acne and the signs of aging, too.

Get Sexy Legs - Great legs are for most, the definition of sexiness

Great legs are for most, the definition of sexiness. Imagine being able to walk into a room in that short skirt or those hot shorts, without worrying about cellulite or unshapely legs? Even for the thin folk out there, you maybe able to get that flat tummy or that perfect butt, but when it comes to your legs they maybe too skinny, or un-toned or just plain out of shape. And let's not forget our old friend –

cellulite. Here are some tips to get sexy legs.

How to deal with cellulite – What is cellulite? Cellulite is described as the sometimes-pitted appearance of fat deposits in the body. It’s most often seen on the thighs and derrière, but it can show up the hips, stomach, and upper arms as well.

The million-dollar question is – Can cellulite actually be cured? Through various changes in lifestyle and posture, cellulite can actually be reduced in most women and simultaneously improve the underlying physiological processes like circulation and lymphatic drainage that help prevent cellulite. Although fat itself isn’t the cause of cellulite, reducing your overall body fat can take pressure off of the connective bands. Exercise is your best bet, and we’d recommend mixing it up.

Use interval training to lose body fat and vigorous resistance training to build up and tone your muscles in areas where you have cellulite. The added muscle mass will help fill in where skin is loose from fat loss. Yoga and Tai Chi both use whole body movement to enhance lymphatic drainage and detoxification.

How to tone your legs - Your legs are the support system of your body and their strength and suppleness is necessary in order for them to be properly toned. Women in particular have problems with unshaped / un-toned legs more than men because most women do exercises like aerobics or a lot of cardio which burn calories but do not build strength and muscle.

In order to get toned legs you have to first build lean muscle. Weighted squats, weighted lunges and weighted deadlifts go a long way in building lean muscle. So do body weight exercises like yoga stretches and lower body workouts.

What building lean muscle does is that it burns fat deposits on your legs and converts it to firm muscle mass. This firm muscle mass is what gives your legs their perfect shape. If you are skinny but your legs are not in shape, try doing strength training and lean muscle mass building workouts. Try also sprinting and brisk walking, both of which build lean muscle mass.

Remember, that in order to get toned legs that are in perfect shape you need to first strengthen them and feed the muscle!

Weight Loss Surgeries

Obesity and excessive smoking are the leading causes of death all over the world. In many western societies, being fat is a growing epidemic. There are many ways to address the risks associated with being overweight, such as exercise, medications, diet, weight loss programs and surgery. Over the past few years, surgical approaches have been used on people who are considered overweight and obese. The surgery works to ensure that the amount of food that's absorbed into the body  is reduced. The surgical procedures are 70 percent effective and after carrying out the operation, weight loss is dramatic.

Because of a drastic reduction in weight, problems such as hypertension, sleep apnea, high blood fats and apnea will disappear. And because these ailments are lifestyle related, the weight loss  will offer significant benefits. Gastric bypass, gastric pacemaker and lap banding are just some of the common surgical procedures, which offer excellent results.

Weight Loss: Gastric Bypass

This method entails altering the routes of the intestines and the stomach. It makes the size of the stomach smaller, thereby reducing the rate at which food absorption occurs in the body. Depending on the patient being operated on, the procedure could entail creating large or small incisions with the help of a small camera and a range of other highly specialized tools. The expected result is a loss of around 100 lbs over a span of 20 months. However, it is important to know about the side effects that are identified with this procedure. Vitamin deficiency is one of the side effects, which patients could face. Available statistics show that 1 out of 200 people have died after undergoing this procedure.

Weight Loss: Lap Band

This method is less dangerous than gastric bypass and works by ensuring that the size of the stomach is restricted. However, this method does not reduce the amount of food, which is absorbed. The technique places silicon bands on the top parts of the stomach, which gets tightened after surgery. This ensures that the rate at which food is passed is reduced drastically. Considerable weight loss is achieved within the first one year and weight loss continues at a slower pace in subsequent years. It is advisable to combine this method with others such as massage as it has been proven to deliver better results.

Weight Loss: Gastric Pacemaker

This method involves the fixing of electric pacemakers that enhance the rate of stimulation in the stomach. The pulses, which are produced, pass the right signals to the brain when the stomach is full. This method is slow, but leads to weight loss in the long run.

What Your Nails Say

Nails and Health: Read the Signs
Did you know your nails can reveal clues to your overall health? A touch of white here, a rosy tinge there, or some rippling or bumps may be a sign of disease in the body. Problems in the liver, lungs, and heart can show up in your nails. Keep reading to learn what secrets your nails might reveal.

Pale Nails
Very pale nails can sometimes be a sign of serious illness, such as:
Anemia
Congestive heart failure
Liver disease
Malnutrition

White Nails
If the nails are mostly white with darker rims, this can indicate liver problems, such as hepatitis. In this image, you can see the fingers are also jaundiced, another sign of liver trouble.

Yellow Nails
One of the most common causes of yellow nails is a fungal infection. As the infection worsens, the nail bed may retract, and nails may thicken and crumble. In rare cases, yellow nails can indicate a more serious condition such as severe thyroid disease, lung disease, diabetes or psoriasis

Bluish Nails
Nails with a bluish tint can mean the body isn't getting enough oxygen. This could indicate an infection in the lungs, such as pneumonia. Some heart problems can be associated with bluish nails.

Rippled Nails
If the nail surface is rippled or pitted, this may be an early sign of psoriasis or inflammatory arthritis. Discoloration of the nail is common; the skin under the nail can seem reddish-brown.

Cracked or Split Nails
Dry, brittle nails that frequently crack or split have been linked to thyroid disease. Cracking or splitting combined with a yellowish hue is more likely due to a fungal infection.

Puffy Nail Fold
If the skin around the nail appears red and puffy, this is known as inflammation of the nail fold. It may be the result of lupus or another connective tissue disorder. Infection can also cause redness and inflammation of the nail fold.

Dark Lines Beneath the Nail
Dark lines beneath the nail should be investigated as soon as possible. They are sometimes caused by melanoma, the most dangerous type of skin cancer.

Gnawed Nails
Biting your nails may be nothing more than an old habit, but in some cases it's a sign of persistent anxiety that could benefit from treatment. Nail biting or picking has also been linked to obsessive-compulsive disorder. If you can't stop, it's worth discussing with your doctor.

Nails Are Only Part of the Puzzle
Though nail changes accompany many conditions, these changes are rarely the first sign. And many nail abnormalities are harmless -- not everyone with white nails has hepatitis. If you're concerned about the appearance of your nails, see a dermatologist.

The trick to eating healthy for Office goers

As an active person you may have every intention of eating healthy but you struggle because you do not know what to eat when and how much to eat. As a result you tend to make poor nutritional choices that zap your energy levels, increase lethargy, results in acidity or unwanted weight gain. Keeping all this in mind, we have provided you with tips to help you eat right even if you are on the move.

The trick to eating healthy:

One basic trick to win with nutrition is to prevent yourself from getting too hungry, conscious planning goes a long way in achieving this.
A few tips to manage a busy schedule.

MORNINGS

Within an hour of waking up kick start your metabolism by eating something. It can be a fruit or a few nuts like almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and walnuts. Nuts are a good source of fibre, healthy fats and proteins.
Breakfast:

Skipping breakfast makes it harder to maintain stable blood sugar levels and the effective functioning of your body and brain during your busy mornings. You can easily grab a hardboiled egg and an orange. For vegetarians, toast with peanut butter will give the right amount of proteins and carbohydrates.
Managing your daily Tea/Coffee:

Caffeine and Tannin inhibit our mental performance throughout the day, so replace it with Green Tea, which is loaded with antioxidants that provide a variety of health benefits such as boosting metabolism, working as a good digestive aid and preventing radical damage in your cells.
A good mid-morning snack would be a fruit or a glass of coconut water. One can also have a glass of buttermilk, as it is a good probiotic to aid in digestion and create good fauna in the gut by regulating the PH balance.
LUNCH

What you choose to eat for lunch, as well as the time you eat it, can have a big impact on your weight, well being and energy levels. Choose from a serving of idli with sambar, a whole-wheat subway, grilled veggies or chicken or tuna multi grain sandwich. While choosing a sandwich, try and go for the mint sauce since it’s made with green chutney instead of mayonnaise. Also, opt for sauces like vinaigrette or a dash of barbeque. Avoid eating cheese.
MID MEALS

Eating every two hours ensures that your brain gets a regular flow of sugar, thereby avoiding fatigue, mood swings and sluggishness. Have protein rich snacks handy like almonds, peanuts, granola bars, low fat cheese and yogurt, pumpkin and sunflower seeds and chia seeds. A fistful of chana and peanuts can easily be carried to work, as they provide you with the necessary carbohydrates and proteins. Alternatively one can also drink a cup of skim milk, a protein share or kora khakras.
DINNER:

What most of us fail to realise is that the quality, quantity and timing of all our pre-dinner meals have a direct effect on our night time dining.  Many of us tend to view dinner as a comfort meal wherein we can afford to indulge since the other meals during the day have been compromises. This is not the time to indulge, so eat a light  dinner. A smart way to eat your dinner would be to eat veggies first, protein second and carbs last. Make sure your dinner is complete at least 2 hours before bedtime.
